SIAMS Assurance gives Church of England trusts a structured monitoring system aligned to the SIAMS Inspection Framework (September 2023). Each role has a defined brief, a visit template, and a direct connection to SIAMS inspection criteria.
Foundation Governors, RE and Collective Worship, Christian Vision and Ethos, and Diocesan Liaison. Each role has a structured visit brief and report template aligned to SIAMS inspection strands, ensuring every aspect of Church of England governance is monitored consistently.
Four roles across three terms gives you twelve structured visits per year. Each visit generates a dated record linked directly to SIAMS inspection criteria. Evidence accumulates term by term without additional administrative effort.
SIAMS uses two judgements (J1 and J2) rather than four grades. The monitoring structure maps directly to these judgement areas so evidence is organised the way inspectors will look for it. When a SIAMS inspection arrives, the evidence is already in place.
Diocesan reporting requirements tracked per school. See which schools have submitted their annual returns, which have updated their SIAMS self-evaluation, and where follow-up is needed. Generate nudge emails to chase completion across the trust.
Which schools have a current SIAMS self-evaluation? Where are foundation governor terms expiring? Which schools have not yet had a governor observe collective worship this term? SIAMS Assurance gives you that visibility at trust level.

SIAMS Assurance is part of the School Governance Assurance Framework. Each tool feeds into the next, so evidence builds once and is used everywhere.
Foundation Governors start from a structured visit record that captures Christian vision, worship and diocesan evidence in the same format every term.
The ongoing monitoring structure. Four roles, termly visits, and diocesan reporting that keeps Church of England governance active and evidenced throughout the year.
The Board Intelligence Report includes Church of England governance data when the faith layer is enabled. Faith monitoring evidence appears alongside all other governance data in a single report for the board.
At trust level, all Church of England governance data is aggregated. Heatmaps, completion rates, and action plans across every school in your trust.
One framework. One evidence trail. Every school.
Tell us about your trust and we will show you how SIAMS monitoring connects to the Board Intelligence Report, and how schools can complete their self-assessment before you ever log into the portal.
